ROLE AND FUNCTIONS OF
THE MEDICAL COUNCIL OF HONG KONG
The Medical Council of Hong Kong is established under the Medical Registration Ordinance, (Cap. 161). The Council's functions cover the registration of medical practitioners, the conduct of the Licensing Examination and the maintenance of ethics, professional standards and discipline in the profession.
All registered medical practitioners should in their own interests read and be familiar with the provisions of the Ordinance and subsidiary legislation, and, in particular the following :-
