^*The Special Registration Committee is established in accordance with section 14F of the Medical Registration Ordinance for making recommendations independently to the Registrar of Medical Practitioners direct on the medical qualifications to be recognized (or no longer to be recognized) for the purposes of special registration.　The Committee is established under the Council so that the Council may provide the administrative, secretarial or other services the Committee requests for performing its functions.
